Undergraduate internships
Our undergraduate internship program offers semester-long, hands-on research experiences that connect students with faculty and research teams working across wetland science, environmental engineering, hydrology and related fields. Through this program, students receive seed funding to explore new ideas, pilot projects and expand techniques that may not yet have dedicated funding — helping them build skills while contributing to ongoing research.
Support for this program also strengthens the foundation of wetland research by investing in essential infrastructure and equipment, from field instruments to lab resources. These tools not only enable student-led projects, but also enhance the broader research capacity of the center.
Together, these internships provide students with meaningful mentorship and real-world experience in both lab and field settings, while advancing innovative, student-driven research in wetland environments.
